The decision first

Field rule

Accept the active Jaeger objective first.

  • Accept the active Jaeger objective first.
  • Trophy requires Reshala and the golden TT.
  • Sellout pairs Killa with his helmet hand-in.
  • Woods Keeper includes Shturman’s stash key.
  • Stray Dogs targets the Goons squad.
  • Check whether a kill and a FIR trophy are both required.

Why boss-kill quests stall so many players

Jaeger's Huntsman Path is the densest cluster of boss-kill tasks in Escape from Tarkov, and it punishes two habits at once: not knowing where a boss actually appears, and forgetting that several of these tasks demand a physical trophy you must carry out of the raid alive.

The chain asks you to kill named bosses on specific maps, then hand in items pulled from their bodies, such as Reshala's golden TT pistol or Shturman's stash key. If you drop the boss but die to his guards, or sell the trophy because you forgot the hand-in existed, the whole raid was wasted. This guide walks every task in the chain, explains where each target holds, and flags which kills also feed neighboring quest lines from Prapor, Fence, and Lightkeeper.

Everything here was checked against Patch 1.1.5.0 during Season 1 KORD BREACH in September 2026. Spawn points, guard counts, and task objectives below come from the official Wiki corpus and patch notes, but treat exact balance values as moving targets: Battlestate adjusts boss behavior and trader requirements between patches, so re-read the in-game task text after any major update before planning a raid around it.

Two warnings apply to the entire chain. First, precise boss health pools and live spawn percentages are not published anywhere our research could verify, so this guide deliberately gives you zero numbers for either. Second, a boss that is not in your raid cannot be killed, so every hunt below is written around confirming the spawn quickly and extracting efficiently when the target is absent, rather than gambling a full kit on hope.

At a glance: every task in the chain

This table compresses the whole Huntsman Path and its closest Jaeger neighbors into one planning sheet. Maps and hand-ins are taken from the official quest page corpus.

Notice how few of these tasks are pure kill orders. Three demand trophies (golden TT, Killa helmet, stash key, BOSS cap), one is really a guard-farming task, and Relentless bundles six separate boss kills into a single turn-in. Plan your stash space accordingly: a golden TT sold to Fence by accident means killing Reshala again.

Jaeger also hands out Shturman-flavored tasks outside the strict Huntsman Path naming, specifically Hunting Trip and All This Filth..., and they stack beautifully with Woods Keeper because all three point at the same sawmill. Accept everything Jaeger offers before you deploy so overlapping objectives tick together.

Action checklist

  1. Accept all Jaeger tasks before deploying so objectives overlap.
  2. Trophy items stay in your secure container or stash until handed in.
  3. Confirm the boss spawn from a distance before committing your kit.
  4. Kill credit means the boss must die to you; leave nothing to teammates if progress matters.
  5. Extract alive: a trophy lost with your corpse does not count.

Unlock Jaeger before anything else

You cannot start the Huntsman Path until Jaeger is trading with you, and Jaeger sits behind Mechanic's Introduction task.

Introduction asks you to find Jaeger's camp on Woods, recover his encrypted message, and deliver it to Mechanic. It is available from character level 2 and pays 30,000 rubles plus a small reputation bump, so there is no reason to delay it. Route your early Woods raids around the camp, grab the message, and the hunter opens his task list the moment you hand over.

Since Patch 1.1.0.0, trader leveling no longer includes any spending or sales-volume requirement: loyalty levels are gated purely by character level and reputation. Jaeger's thresholds are level 9 with 0.60 reputation for LL2, level 17 with 2.10 for LL3, and level 33 with 7.30 for LL4. Side tasks now unlock in batches as your loyalty rises, which means grinding his earlier tasks is what opens the later Huntsman Path entries in the first place.

That LL4 target matters beyond shop stock. The Collector quest for the Kappa secure container demands loyalty level 4 with all seven classic traders, Jaeger included, so every point of reputation you earn on the Huntsman Path is also progress toward the endgame container. For the full loyalty math, see the trader loyalty guide and Jaeger's trader page on this site.

Field note / 04

Trophy and Justice: hunting Reshala on Customs

Reshala is the chain's intended entry point: a Customs boss with four heavily armed guards, three known spawn areas, and a pair of Jaeger tasks wrapped around him.

He appears at the dorms, the new gas station, or the Scav base near the ZB-013 extraction. The dorms spawn is the most contested because the building compresses fights into doorways, so approach from outside, work windows and grenades, and pull his guards into the open before you push. Customs gives you flanking room that later bosses never will, so use it.

The Huntsman Path - Trophy requires killing Reshala and handing in his golden TT-33 pistol, which drops from his body. Loot it immediately, secure it, and do not sell it: the task wants the physical pistol. His Reshala's bunkhouse key is a separate valuable drop, not part of this hand-in.

The Huntsman Path - Justice runs parallel and asks for three kills on Scavs wearing police uniforms, which describes Reshala's guard detail. This means a raid where you kill two guards but never find Reshala still moves your progression, and it also means clearing the escort first serves both tasks at once. Treat Justice as your consolation prize on dry raids.

Compared to the rest of the chain, Reshala is the forgiving teacher: many guards but an open map, controllable engagement distances, and a spawn zone every Customs regular learns within a few sessions. If you cannot reliably finish Trophy yet, the later single-target tasks are not ready for you either.

Field note / 05

Sellout: killing Killa in the mall

Killa holds Interchange alone, with no guards to hide behind and a fire-rate problem that deletes players who peek twice.

He patrols the three anchor stores, IDEA, OLI, and Goshan, plus the central shops on the mall's first and second floors. Tagilla also appears on Interchange down in the parking levels beneath Goshan, but the two never overlap in the same spot, so if you hear a sledgehammer sprinting underground that is a different task entirely.

With no escort to thin out, the Killa fight is a pure duel against suppressive automatic fire in tight retail corridors. The verified playbook from the boss research is to aim for the head or break his legs, fight from hard cover, and spend grenades freely. Trading aimed fire against him at mid range is how Interchange eats intermediate players.

The Huntsman Path - Sellout wants the kill plus his helmet handed in. Killa wears his own edition of the Maska-1SCh helmet with a matching face shield, and that is the trophy the task expects, so when he drops, the helmet goes straight into your inventory before you touch anything else. His RPK-16, his 6B13 M armor, and his BlackHawk Commando chest rig are excellent secondary loot, but the helmet is the quest.

Because the mall interior is claustrophobic and popular with player squads, treat Sellout as a mid-chain task rather than an early one. Bring ammunition that defeats his armor class, plan your exit before you engage, and remember that every dead body near Killa's patrol route is a warning, not an opportunity.

Field note / 06

Woods Keeper, Hunting Trip, and All This Filth: the Shturman program

Three Jaeger tasks converge on one man at the sawmill, which makes Woods the most efficient map in the entire chain if you plan it as a campaign instead of single raids.

Shturman spawns at the sawmill with two or three heavily equipped guards. The terrain around the mill is open woodland with long sightlines, which suits patient rifle work, and his guard count is the lowest of any guarded boss on the classic roster. There is one nasty twist straight from the official changelog: Shturman and his guards move completely silently, so you will not hear the flanking pair until they shoot.

The Huntsman Path - Woods Keeper asks for the kill and his stash key as a hand-in, another loot-the-body trophy you must not sell. His other signature drop, the Red Rebel ice pick, is one of the most desirable melee items in the game but is not part of any Jaeger objective, so decide before the raid whether you are farming the key or gambling for the pick.

Hunting Trip adds a hard constraint: kill Shturman with a headshot from beyond 40 meters using an M700 bolt-action rifle fitted with the optic the task specifies. Read the task text for the exact scope requirement before building the rifle, because a wrong optic means a wasted kill. All This Filth... simply asks you to kill Shturman twenty times, a long-term counter that ticks up naturally while you chase the other two.

The efficient sequence is: run sawmill checks with an M700 build, take the headshot at range for Hunting Trip, loot the key for Woods Keeper when it drops, and let All This Filth accumulate in the background. Among all boss hunts, this is the one the research flags as the friendliest entry target precisely because you can do it at sniper distance.

Field note / 07

Factory Chief: surviving Tagilla

Tagilla is a solo boss with a sledgehammer, heavy health, and a habit of appearing anywhere on the smallest map in the game.

The official map data lists his Factory spawn with the delightful note that he has to be expected everywhere, and that is exactly how it plays: he roams the whole map rather than holding a room. Night raids on Factory add Cultists to the enemy list, which makes an already claustrophobic hunt genuinely dangerous, so day raids are the sane choice for quest work.

His melee damage and durability make point-blank the worst possible engagement range, which is a problem on a map built entirely out of point-blank. Keep doors and stairwells between you and him, land headshots or shred his legs, and never let the hammer close. He also appears on Interchange in the underground parking below Goshan, giving you a second, roomier venue for the same kill if Factory keeps going wrong.

The Huntsman Path - Factory Chief requires killing him and handing in the BOSS cap. As with every trophy task, secure the cap the moment he falls. His other drops, the Dead Blow Hammer, the UBEY and Gorilla welding masks, and his edition of the Crye AVS rig, are trophies for your stash rather than quest items.

Because Tagilla combines high risk with a mandatory extraction item, budget kits are a false economy here. Run armor-piercing ammunition, a faceshield if you have one, and a direct line to an extraction once the cap is in your container.

Field note / 08

Eraser: Glukhar and the six-guard problem on Reserve

Glukhar commands the largest escort of the classic bosses, six heavily armed guards, and his map also hosts Scav Raiders, which turns every fight into a potential three-way.

His confirmed positions on Reserve are the warehouse marked K, the repair workshop marked with the white knight, the barracks at black bishop and black pawn, and the underground warehouse marked with the Cyrillic D. That spread means you spend the first minutes of every raid checking four zones, and the underground spawn in particular favors him because his guards hold the corridors.

The tactics are attrition, not dueling. Pick off guards one at a time from angles they cannot all cover, use side routes and hard cover, and assume any prolonged gunfire pulls Scav Raiders toward you since they share the map. The Huntsman Path - Eraser asks only for Glukhar's death with no hand-in, which is a mercy: once he drops, the task is done and you can disengage instead of looting under pressure.

Hold this task until your Reserve fundamentals are solid. Between six guards, roaming Raiders, and multiple spawn zones to clear, Eraser is priced for players who already extract from Reserve regularly, and attempting it early mostly donates kits to the military base.

Note for later: Lightkeeper's Payback task also centers on Glukhar and his guard detail, so veteran players often defer Eraser until they can pair it with that chain rather than farming Reserve twice. The related-quests section below covers the pairing.

Field note / 09

Sadist: burst Sanitar down before he heals

Sanitar is a former doctor with three guards, and the official changelog records that he heals himself and his men rapidly, uses homemade stimulants, and can even perform field surgery mid-fight.

That single mechanic defines the whole encounter. A slow, methodical fight lets him undo your damage, so the verified advice is either point-blank burst to interrupt the healing or focused fire that kills him outright. Every second you spend repositioning is a second he spends injecting something.

He appears on Shoreline in the east and west wings of the health resort, around the port and dock area, and near the cottages. The resort spawns are indoor corridor fights that suit the burst approach; the cottage and dock spawns give you more room but also more angles for his three guards.

The Huntsman Path - Sadist needs only the kill, no trophy. His famous drop is the Keycard with a blue marking, which opens his office in the resort and is tied to other quest progress. Do not confuse it with the TerraGroup Labs keycard in blue: they are completely different items, and the names are close enough that the community mixes them up constantly.

Sanitar sits in the mid-difficulty band of the chain. His guards are fewer than Glukhar's and his map is calmer than Interchange, but the healing means sloppy damage output is punished harder here than anywhere else. Bring your best ammunition and commit to the kill.

Field note / 10

Liberation: farming six Raiders

The Huntsman Path - Liberation breaks the boss pattern: it asks for six Scav Raider kills, and Raiders only exist on two maps, The Lab and Reserve.

Raiders are ex-PMC elites with quality gear and aggressive AI, and the changelog pegs their head health at 35, the same as AI PMCs and Rogues. On The Lab they are the map's only enemy type, while on Reserve they appear around the train and bunker events. Either venue fills the counter.

The two options have very different price tags. The Lab requires a TerraGroup Labs access keycard for every entry and insured items are never returned from that map, which makes it an expensive farming loop if your survival rate is shaky. Reserve costs nothing to enter and doubles as Glukhar territory, so for most players the efficient play is farming Liberation progress on Reserve while checking Glukhar's spawn zones for Eraser.

Because Raider spawns on Reserve tie into map events, listen for the train and the bunker activity rather than sweeping the whole base. Six kills is a small number, and a couple of productive Reserve raids will finish Liberation faster than one catastrophic Lab run.

Field note / 11

Outcasts: ten Rogues on a reworked Lighthouse

The Huntsman Path - Outcasts sends you to Lighthouse for ten Rogue kills, and this is the one task where the current patch genuinely moved the furniture.

Rogues are ex-USEC fighters who historically held the water treatment plant with mounted machine guns and grenade launchers arranged in a ring defense. Patch 1.1.5.0, released September 8, 2026, relocated the Rogues from the water treatment plant to the mountain chalets, removed the plant's fixed weapons and all of its mines, and added cover along the exposed main road. Older map data and older guides still describe the plant stronghold; trust the patch notes over anything written before September 2026.

Two cautions survive the rework. First, Rogues remain organized defenders who watch approaches and suppress, so chalets are still a fight on their terms. Second, their faction behavior toward USEC-player PMCs has changed across versions and the current exact rules are unverified in our research, so do not assume they will tolerate you based on your faction pick.

Ten kills is a farming task, not a single-raid sprint. Take a DMR or rifle build suited to Lighthouse's long lanes, clear the Rogue positions methodically, and extract rather than overextending for one more tag. Lighthouse also hosts the Goons and Zryachiy, so keep your other active tasks in mind while you are there.

Field note / 12

Stray Dogs: the Goons are a squad fight

Stray Dogs requires killing Knight, Big Pipe, and Birdeye, a three-man unit that spawns together and fights as a coordinated fireteam.

Their documented spawn points are the Scav base at ZB-013 on Customs, the northwest antenna and Scav bunker area on Woods, the weather station on Shoreline's southeastern hill, and the northern water treatment plant plus blue chalet on Lighthouse. One trio, one location per raid, and the exact rotation schedule between those maps is unverified in our research. Community tracking tools exist specifically to watch their daily location, and using one before you deploy saves entire evenings.

Their roles come straight from the official changelog. Knight is the squad lead who coordinates the assault. Birdeye is the overwatch sniper who keeps distance and sets ambushes. Big Pipe carries the grenade launcher and likes to close the distance fast. The changelog also states the Goons retain a wider field of view than ordinary AI, so assume they have seen you first and pick the fight's starting position deliberately.

Kill order matters. Birdeye's sniper fire punishes any slow clear, and Big Pipe's 40mm grenades punish bunching and corner play, so experienced hunters drop the sniper and the grenadier before finishing Knight. Each member drops signature gear: Knight's Death Knight mask, Big Pipe's M32A1 grenade launcher, and three distinct Goons chest rigs across the squad, so even failed quest raids can pay.

One edge case: Knight also appears on the Icebreaker map with two Rogue guards, but Big Pipe and Birdeye are not documented there, so Icebreaker cannot complete Stray Dogs on its own. Treat the four rotating maps as the real hunting grounds and Icebreaker as trivia until research says otherwise.

Field note / 13

Big Game: Kaban is a fortress on Streets

The Huntsman Path - Big Game is the chain's largest single task: kill Kaban, his bodyguards Basmach and Gus, and five of his guards, all at the LexOs car dealership on Streets of Tarkov.

Kaban fields the biggest entourage in the game: two personal bodyguards, four heavily armed guards, and two or three snipers, roughly eight or nine followers total. The changelog records that he fires a heavy machine gun without needing to mount it, balanced by poor mobility, so he tends to sit and hose rather than chase. Local Scavs also assist his group, swelling the effective defense further.

Approach is everything. Clear the snipers and outer guards first, fight from cover the dealership provides, and never trade with the machine gun head-on. His low mobility is the exploit: once his screen is thinned, you can reposition faster than he can and finish the bodyguards and Kaban himself on your terms.

The task's five-guard requirement overlaps naturally with the fight's correct shape, since you must kill his escort to reach him anyway. Big Game is firmly an endgame hunt. Bring your best kit, a squad if you have one, and accept that the dealership will cost you several attempts before it gives up its boss. His PKM and PKP machine guns are worthy trophies for the effort.

Field note / 14

Relentless: the six-boss marathon

The Huntsman Path - Relentless is the capstone: a single task demanding kills on Tagilla, Killa, Reshala, Shturman, Glukhar, and Sanitar.

Nothing about Relentless is mechanically new, which is exactly the trap. Every boss in it you have already fought individually by the time it unlocks, but stringing six successful hunts into one task's progress means six maps worth of spawns, trophies, and extractions where a single greedy death erases a session. The reliable approach is scheduling: dedicate raids to one boss at a time, treat absent spawns as instant exits, and never double-dip a Relentless hunt with loot ambitions.

There is one unconventional venue worth knowing. On Terminal, the endgame transit map, exactly one boss per raid spawns at the container ship berth, drawn from Glukhar, Killa, Reshala, Sanitar, or Tagilla. Terminal is only reachable by transiting from Shoreline at night with an access item, and your character state is restored after the raid either way, so it is a gated but concentrated boss lottery for players who already have access.

Shturman is the only Relentless target with no Terminal presence, so Woods stays mandatory. Plan your final kill around whichever boss has been dodging you, and remember that Relentless progress is the kind of thing Task Search, added in Patch 1.0.6.0, exists to track from the character screen between raids.

Field note / 15

Related boss quests worth stacking

The Huntsman Path does not live alone. Three neighboring quest lines touch the same bosses, and smart sequencing turns double work into single raids.

Prapor's The Punisher - Part 6 is the only Punisher chapter involving bosses: alongside 30 PMC kills with a specified weapon and 10 dogtags, it asks you to locate and kill any five bosses. Any five, which means your easiest Relentless targets double-count. Fence's Small Business series wants boss figurines handed in, and its Part 2 has the spicy requirement of killing ten boss guards without killing any boss, a task that pairs perversely well with Justice and Big Game as long as you leave the boss breathing.

Lightkeeper's Payback targets Glukhar specifically: kill him plus six of his guards, fire a yellow flare at the radar station, and extract from Reserve via Cliff Descent. Stack it with Eraser and one Reserve trip can clear two quest lines at once. Zryachiy deserves a warning rather than a task: he guards the mined bridge to Lightkeeper on the Lighthouse peninsula with two Cultist guards, and per the official map data, killing him causes your encoded DSP transmitter to decode. If you are pursuing Lightkeeper access, sequence that quest line before hunting Zryachiy, not after.

Finally, Jaeger's Broadcast - Part 5 sends you after the Cultist Priest and asks you to stash a cultist knife at a ritual site. Cultists appear at night on Customs, Woods, and Shoreline, on night Factory, and in Ground Zero's level-21-plus pool; they are near-silent melee stalkers with poisoned knives. Their exact spawn windows and odds beyond the night-only rule are unverified, so bring night vision and patience in equal measure.

Field note / 16

Loadout rules for boss hunting

Bosses and their guards wear real armor, and the ballistics data behind this site's ammo reference decides whether your hunt ends in a trophy or a death screen.

The core rule is headshots or legs. Boss guards, Raiders, and Rogues were notorious for prioritizing headshots until a patch fixed that behavior, but their armor remains serious, and the changelog gives Raider and Rogue heads 35 health against 30 for ordinary Scavs. Boss health totals are not published in any source we could verify, so plan for them to be the toughest thing on the map and be pleasantly surprised rather than the reverse.

Ammunition choice carries boss hunts more than weapon platform does. The table below pulls verified penetration values from the ballistics corpus for rounds that suit common hunting loadouts. Full data lives on the ammunition reference page and the ammo chart tool on this site.

Suppression fire is worth understanding defensively: the changelog restricts AI suppressive fire to Raiders, Rogues, and bosses with guards, which is why Reshala's and Kaban's escorts feel like a wall of bullets while ordinary Scavs pick single shots at range. When the incoming fire is suppressive, you are fighting a guarded boss; reposition instead of re-peeking.

RoundPenetrationWhy it hunts bosses

What we could not verify as of Patch 1.1.5.0

Honest gaps beat confident numbers. These items are unverified in the research base and are deliberately stated as ranges, behaviors, or absences throughout this guide.

Exact boss health pools: not present in the official corpus. Current boss spawn percentages: a patch note once set all bosses to a 30 percent spawn chance, but that was a temporary historical value and nothing confirms it today; PvP and PvE rates may also differ. Goons rotation schedule: community trackers watch it daily precisely because no official schedule is published.

Rogue faction rules toward USEC players: changed across versions, current behavior unverified. Cultist spawn windows: only the night-only rule is confirmed. Real-money or flea values of keycards and boss drops: too volatile to print. Finally, the research contains a wording conflict about whether Goons and Zryachiy have faster or slower reaction times than regular AI; the wider field of view is confirmed in the changelog, but we omit any reaction-time claim until the conflict resolves.

Action checklist

  1. No boss HP numbers exist in verified sources; ignore sites that print them without a version.
  2. Treat the 30 percent spawn figure as a historical patch note, not the current rate.
  3. Check a community Goons tracker the day you hunt Stray Dogs.
  4. Re-read in-game task text after every major patch before hunting.

Expected outcome and where to go next

Finish the Huntsman Path and you hold Jaeger loyalty progress toward LL4, a pile of boss trophies, and kill credit that overlaps Prapor's Punisher Part 6 and Lightkeeper's Payback.

The realistic order is Reshala and Shturman first, Sanitar and Killa once your ammunition budget grows, then Glukhar, Tagilla, the Goons, Rogues, Kaban, and finally Relentless as the victory lap. Every task above feeds Jaeger reputation, and Jaeger LL4 is one of the seven loyalty level 4 requirements for the Collector quest, so this chain is not a detour from the Kappa grind; it is a load-bearing wall of it.

Continue with the trader loyalty guide at /guides/trader-loyalty-guide to plan the reputation math, the Goons guide at /guides/goons-guide for the trio's deeper behavior notes, the Kappa container guide at /guides/kappa-container-guide for the endgame checklist, and the Lightkeeper guide at /guides/lightkeeper-guide before you touch Zryachiy. Jaeger's own stock and unlock details sit at /traders/jaeger.

For the hunts themselves, the map pages carry spawn zones and extraction details: /maps/customs, /maps/woods, /maps/interchange, /maps/factory, /maps/shoreline, /maps/reserve, /maps/streets-of-tarkov, and /maps/lighthouse. Boss-specific behavior and drop tables live under /bosses, for example /bosses/killa, and the ammunition data that wins these fights is at /gear/ammunition and the interactive /tools/ammo-chart. Verify the spawn, secure the trophy, extract alive: the path does the rest.

Avoid these mistakes

  • Killing before accepting the relevant task.
  • Selling the trophy after a successful hunt.
  • Confusing boss-specific objectives with ordinary Scav kills.

Debrief

Frequently asked questions

Which Huntsman Path task should I do first?

The Huntsman Path - Trophy on Customs or Woods Keeper on Woods. The boss research ranks Reshala and Shturman as the friendliest hunts: Reshala's Customs spawn areas allow flanking and controlled distances, and Shturman has only two or three guards in open sawmill terrain that suits sniper rifles. Both also teach the chain's core habit, looting a trophy item off the boss and extracting with it.

Is Sanitar's blue-marked keycard the same as the Labs blue keycard?

No. Sanitar drops the Keycard with a blue marking, which opens his office in the Shoreline health resort and is tied to quest progress. The Labs card is officially named TerraGroup Labs keycard (Blue) and opens a room inside The Lab. They are different items with similar community shorthand, and mixing them up is an expensive mistake.

Which tasks need trophy items handed in, and where do the trophies come from?

Trophy wants Reshala's golden TT pistol, Sellout wants Killa's helmet, Woods Keeper wants Shturman's stash key, and Factory Chief wants the BOSS cap from Tagilla. Every trophy drops from the boss's body, so loot him the moment he dies and secure the item. Sell one by accident and you are killing that boss again.

How often do bosses spawn in the current patch?

Nobody outside Battlestate can say with a verifiable source. A past patch note set all bosses to a 30 percent spawn chance, but that was a temporary value and our research confirms no current figure for Patch 1.1.5.0, in either PvP or PvE. Plan every boss raid so an absent spawn is a quick exit, not a wasted kit.

Can I finish Stray Dogs on Icebreaker?

No, not reliably. Knight appears on Icebreaker with two Rogue guards, but Big Pipe and Birdeye are not documented on that map, and Stray Dogs requires all three members. The trio spawns together on Customs, Woods, Shoreline, or Lighthouse, with the exact rotation between those maps unverified, so check a community tracker before deploying.

Should I kill Zryachiy before or after unlocking Lightkeeper?

After, unless you have no interest in Lightkeeper. Zryachiy guards the mined bridge to the Lighthouse peninsula where Lightkeeper sits, and the official map data states that killing him causes your encoded DSP transmitter to decode, breaking your safe passage. Finish the Lightkeeper access chain and any bridge-crossing tasks first, then hunt him for his AK-50.
