Kappa Container Guide: The Collector Quest Explained
The endgame secure container and its brutal double gate.

The decision first
Collector requires at least three Scav karma.
- Collector requires at least three Scav karma.
- Reach LL4 with the seven regular progression traders.
- Finish the named prerequisite task set.
- Reserve required streamer and rare items with FIR status.
- The research reports approximately forty-four hand-ins.
- Verify the active Collector list before selling collectibles.
How to get Kappa: the current Collector route
To earn the Kappa secure container through Fence's Collector quest, reach loyalty level 4 with Prapor, Therapist, Skier, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Ragman, and Jaeger; build Fence reputation to at least +3; complete the four named prerequisite tasks; and hand over one found-in-raid copy of each of the 44 requested items. Kappa provides a single 3-by-4 inventory grid with 12 slots. The collection is a long-term project, but you can start saving its items before Fence offers the task.
This guide follows the post-1.1 progression system and the Collector requirements checked on September 17, 2026, within the site's Patch 1.1.5.0 baseline. Older guides describing hundreds of mandatory tasks, different level thresholds, or an Evasion armband requirement do not match the checklist below. Use your active profile's task screen to resolve a later patch or mode-specific difference.
Work on three things together: trader progression, Scav karma, and the item collection. Saving rare objects while you complete normal tasks is much more efficient than reaching the unlock conditions with an empty collection. Conversely, a stash full of streamer items will not compensate for one trader still sitting at LL3.
Action checklist
- Reach LL4 with all seven required traders and Fence reputation of +3 or higher.
- Complete Chemical - Part 3, Sew it Good - Part 2, Shooter Born in Heaven, and The Tarkov Shooter - Part 4.
- Reserve one eligible copy of every item in the 44-item checklist.
- Accept Collector, hand over the items, complete the task, and claim the reward.
What the extra secure-container space is worth
Kappa's practical benefit is room for a more complete protected loadout. A documents case, an injector case, medical supplies, and valuable loot compete for fewer slots in smaller containers. Twelve slots give you more flexibility when choosing what to carry and what to protect during a raid. Think about the items you repeatedly leave behind or move into your backpack; those are the problems the upgrade can solve.
The internal layout matters as much as the slot count. Kappa's connected 3-by-4 grid accommodates combinations that a narrower container cannot. The current item reference lists compatible cases, provisions, medicines, keys, and other permitted items, but restrictions still apply. For example, magazines and some specialized weapon attachments are excluded. Check a particular item in the inventory interface before building your loadout around it.
A secure container protects possession, not Collector eligibility. An item you retain after dying can still lose its found-in-raid status. Kappa is a useful long-term equipment upgrade and a satisfying progression goal, but it does not remove the need to survive with future quest loot.
The seven trader requirements and the effective level floor
Each required trader must actually display LL4. The current thresholds below require both PMC level and reputation. Patch 1.1.0.0 removed the old cumulative spending and sales-volume requirement, so buying and reselling equipment is no longer a way to fill a missing loyalty requirement. These reputation values use the reworked scale; do not substitute decimal values from beta-era tables.
Ragman's level-42 requirement makes level 42 the effective minimum for satisfying all seven ordinary trader gates. That is a consequence of the loyalty requirements, not a promise that Collector automatically appears on your forty-second level-up. Missing reputation or an unfinished prerequisite can keep the quest unavailable well beyond that point.
Fence is handled separately through +3 Scav karma. His own LL4 threshold is +6, which is not the Collector threshold. Ref and Lightkeeper are also absent from this seven-trader list. Review /guides/trader-loyalty-guide if a trader's next loyalty level remains your main obstacle.
| Trader | PMC level for LL4 | Reputation for LL4 |
|---|---|---|
| Prapor | 36 | 7.90 |
| Therapist | 37 | 5.80 |
| Skier | 38 | 5.80 |
| Peacekeeper | 37 | 6.00 |
| Mechanic | 40 | 7.60 |
| Ragman | 42 | 6.50 |
| Jaeger | 33 | 7.30 |
Plan reputation around the trader holding you back
At the start of a session, identify the trader furthest from LL4 and choose a task you can realistically finish for that trader. Keep a small record of current reputation, required reputation, and the next accessible task. This turns an intimidating overall grind into a specific decision: which completed objective will move the weakest part of the unlock forward today?
The reworked side-task system offers many tasks in groups tied to loyalty progression. Inspect what is available on your character instead of following an old quest-tree spreadsheet without checking it. Easy tasks for a trader who already meets every requirement can still fund the run, but they should not repeatedly displace the trader whose reputation is preventing Collector access.
Read the reputation consequences before completing tasks with opposing trader interests. A reward for one trader may include a penalty for another. Chemical - Part 3, for example, currently lists a small Jaeger reputation loss. If Jaeger is barely over his LL4 threshold, account for that loss before treating his gate as permanently finished.
Mechanic deserves particular attention because the current Shooter Born in Heaven task is offered at Mechanic LL4. You cannot rely on that task's reputation reward to reach the loyalty level needed to obtain it. Build Mechanic's reputation through other available work first, then tackle the shooting requirement.
Build +3 Fence reputation without turning Scav runs into a setback
Fence reputation is your Scav karma. Peaceful Scav extractions provide a steady contribution, while eligible vehicle extractions as a PMC and co-op extractions can provide larger gains. Their rewards diminish with repeated use of the same location, so rotating suitable extraction opportunities is more useful than expecting every car departure to award its first-use amount.
The reference values are +0.01 for a successful Scav extraction, +0.20 for the first vehicle extraction at a location, and +0.25 for the first co-op extraction at a location. As a planning example, a gap of 0.30 would take 30 successful Scav extractions at +0.01 if nothing else changed. That arithmetic explains why safe vehicle opportunities can make a noticeable difference; it excludes penalties, tasks, and special modifiers.
During Scav runs, avoid shooting an uncertain target merely because it is carrying good equipment. Losing reputation can erase the benefit of several successful runs, and the gear still has to leave the map. Inspect your own Scav's equipment and inventory when you spawn, loot safely, and preserve the useful items at the transfer screen after extraction.
Fence's Scav tasks can supplement the process once available. Check their rewards and any replacement penalty before rerolling one. For a detailed explanation of reputation gains and losses, use /guides/scav-karma-guide.
Finish Chemical - Part 3 and Sew it Good - Part 2
Chemical - Part 3 asks you to recover a chemical-filled syringe from Factory and deliver it to Skier. The current walkthrough places it in the breach room on the third floor of the offices, with several possible positions inside. Accept the task before searching: this is a special quest-inventory object, not an ordinary medical syringe you can stockpile in advance.
Prepare for a short objective raid. Know the office approach and a usable extraction, collect the syringe, and prioritize getting out alive. Failing to extract loses the quest item. Once back in the stash, submit it and finish the task before taking another raid. There is little benefit in carrying an unsubmitted quest objective into another attempt.
Sew it Good - Part 2 currently requires two found-in-raid WARTECH TV-109 + TV-106 chest rigs in A-TACS FG and two found-in-raid BlackRock chest rigs in Gray. Save the exact variants when you encounter them. Guides describing different armor hand-ins under this title can reflect an earlier arrangement of Ragman's tasks.
The BlackRock rig is listed as craftable at Lavatory level 2, giving you a possible alternative to searching bodies. Check the available recipe and ingredients on your profile. Keep the finished rigs in your stash until handed over: using one as your regular raid rig destroys the status you were saving. Complete both the item submissions and the task's final completion step.
Shooter Born in Heaven: use the paired-map objectives
The current Shooter Born in Heaven requires Mechanic LL4 to obtain. Its objectives ask for five PMC headshots with a bolt-action rifle in each of four map pairs, for 20 qualifying kills overall. Each pair uses an either/or condition. You can concentrate on the map you know better within that pair instead of treating all eight maps as separate five-kill requirements.
The listed objectives have no minimum-distance condition. Do not import an old 100-meter or 125-meter restriction into this version. Your weapon must qualify as a bolt-action rifle and the kill must be a headshot on a PMC. A scoped semiautomatic rifle can be excellent for other tasks while still being the wrong tool here.
Choose a rifle, ammunition, and optic combination you can afford to replace several times. Practice its sight picture and point of impact before committing expensive kits. Watch a route that players actually cross and choose a second position to move to when the first goes quiet. Repeating a familiar setup makes it easier to improve than rebuilding a different rifle after every death.
A secondary weapon can help you survive close encounters, but kills made with it will not satisfy the bolt-action objective. After a raid, check the appropriate pair's counter rather than assuming every headshot counted. Treat collecting streamer items as a convenient extra during these raids; do not overload a shooting task with a route that repeatedly pulls you away from viable engagements.
| Objective group | Choose either map | Required kills |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Customs or Lighthouse | 5 PMC headshots with a bolt-action rifle |
| 2 | Streets of Tarkov or Shoreline | 5 PMC headshots with a bolt-action rifle |
| 3 | Interchange or Ground Zero | 5 PMC headshots with a bolt-action rifle |
| 4 | Woods or Reserve | 5 PMC headshots with a bolt-action rifle |
The Tarkov Shooter - Part 4: make distance deliberate
Jaeger's The Tarkov Shooter - Part 4 follows Part 3 and currently asks for five PMC eliminations from over 80 meters using a bolt-action rifle. Unlike Shooter Born in Heaven, this objective specifies distance but does not require a headshot. Prepare for the exact combination shown in the task: the right target, the right weapon class, and enough separation.
Pick a position with identifiable landmarks beyond 80 meters and leave a margin rather than aiming for the boundary. A rangefinder or distances checked beforehand can prevent several apparently successful kills from producing no progress. You also need a covered exit from the position; sitting in a location with one exposed escape route can make a second engagement much harder to survive.
When both tasks are active, a bolt-action PMC headshot beyond 80 meters on an eligible map can satisfy the conditions of both objectives. This overlap follows from their listed requirements; verify both counters afterward. You do not need to postpone every available Part 4 opportunity until Mechanic LL4. Finish straightforward progress when it is available, especially if delaying it would block other Jaeger work.
Use the same rifle setup for both tasks when practical. Familiarity with ammunition velocity, recoil recovery, and follow-up timing is usually more useful than an expensive attachment change after one missed shot.
A progression plan that keeps collection moving
Early on, prioritize unlocking the traders and maps needed for your ordinary progression while reserving Collector items that happen to appear. A new profile benefits more from useful equipment, quest access, and reliable income than from an expensive dedicated hunt for one streamer collectible. Save the first eligible copy, then return to the task that opened the next part of the game.
During the middle of progression, combine objectives by route rather than by wishful thinking. A raid can reasonably include a task location, several relevant loot containers, and an extraction that helps Fence reputation. Adding a distant marked room, a boss detour, and a second map-wide objective can turn a manageable run into a string of unnecessary risks.
Near LL4, review the collection and the four named tasks together. If the collection is nearly finished but Shooter Born in Heaven has barely started, prioritize the shooting task. If every progression condition is done and two objects remain, switch to targeted searching. The best next raid depends on the remaining blocker, not the total number of boxes you have already ticked.
| Stage | Main priority | Collection habit |
|---|---|---|
| Early progression | Trader access, map familiarity, sustainable kits | Save the first FIR copy of each listed item |
| Building loyalty | Reputation gaps and prerequisite tasks | Check relevant loot along the task route |
| Approaching Collector | Finish LL4, karma, and shooting objectives | Audit exact missing names and competing item uses |
| Final collection | Survive with the remaining items | Choose documented sources and short extraction routes |
Complete Collector checklist: all 44 items
Reserve one found-in-raid copy of every item below. This is the full list checked for this revision, not a selection of examples. Keep a simple status beside each name in your own notes: missing, saved with FIR, or handed in. An item you once found but later sold or carried back into a raid belongs in the missing column.
Names matter. Golden 1GPhone smartphone is different from the ordinary phone, WZ Wallet is different from Simple wallet, and Can of Dr. Lupo's coffee beans is different from other coffee. The Glorious E item is currently titled Glorious E mask on the wiki; older references call it Glorious E lightweight armored mask. Compare the actual item requested by your task when a translated or historical name differs.
The current list does not include Armband (Evasion), Old firesteel, or Golden rooster figurine. Those objects can still have other uses, so their absence here is not a recommendation to sell them automatically. Reserve additional copies of shared items when another active quest or hideout upgrade needs them.

Found in raid: the rules that decide whether your item counts
Collector checks the status of the individual item. Finding something in a backpack during a raid does not necessarily make it eligible: equipment brought in by another PMC has already lost FIR. Items purchased from traders or the flea market do not solve a found-in-raid hand-in, and taking a purchased item into a raid cannot convert it into a qualifying copy.
For ordinary loot recovered from the raid, you need the Survived extraction result. The current reference gives two ways to avoid Run Through: earn at least 200 in-raid experience from qualifying actions, or remain in the raid for at least seven minutes before extracting. On a PMC collection run, use elapsed raid time as a conservative check if you are unsure about experience. Do not base the decision on an estimated total that includes end-of-raid bonuses.
Death removes FIR from loot retained in the secure container. Run Through also fails the eligibility check, even though you escaped with the object. Other unsuccessful results, including MIA and Left the Action, are not substitutes for survival. Before marking an item as saved, inspect it in the stash after the raid.
Hideout-crafted items and quest rewards can carry FIR. This makes a documented recipe or reward a legitimate alternative source, but it does not mean every Collector item has a craft. See /guides/found-in-raid-explained for the broader item-status rules.
| How you obtained or handled the item | Collector consequence |
|---|---|
| Raid-spawned loot extracted with Survived | Eligible when its FIR marker is present |
| Flea-market or trader purchase | Does not meet the FIR requirement |
| PMC-brought equipment taken from a body | Does not become FIR by changing owners |
| Loot retained in a secure container after death | Kept as an object, but not as a FIR hand-in |
| FIR item brought into another raid | Loses FIR and needs replacing for Collector |
| Qualifying craft output or quest reward | Save it in the stash without redeploying it |
Organize the stash so you cannot accidentally spend the collection
Create a clearly separated storage area for Collector and keep its contents out of everyday loadouts. A label or tagged case helps, but one case may not accept every item type. Wearable equipment, melee weapons, food, and barter items may need different storage. The important rule is that every reserved object has an obvious home and a matching entry on your checklist.
Several collection pieces look useful enough to equip immediately. A mask, glasses, an Antique axe, or a wallet can quietly become part of a preset or a routine loadout. Review your face cover, eyewear, melee slot, pockets, and secure-container contents before entering another raid. An FIR Gingy keychain filled with everyday keys is particularly easy to forget.
Also check ingredient selection before crafting, upgrading the hideout, bartering, or making a Cultist Circle sacrifice. An item can disappear from the collection without ever leaving the stash. If you choose to spend a reserved copy to unlock a valuable upgrade, record that decision immediately and reopen its checklist entry. Deliberate tradeoffs are manageable; believing you still own an item after consuming it creates avoidable last-minute searches.
Choose loot routes by the missing item
A useful farming route has three properties: it searches containers or loose spawns documented for your missing item, it fits your budget, and it ends at an extraction you can use reliably. A famous high-value room is not automatically the best answer. If reaching it costs most of your kit budget and you rarely leave alive, a quieter route with fewer checks can produce better practical results.
Use the examples below to choose a search method, then consult the relevant map before entering. These are documented possibilities rather than universal loot pools: finding one streamer item in a container does not prove that every Collector item can spawn there. Pay attention to whether a location needs a key or depends on a service you have unlocked.
Early in the collection, several broadly useful stops are worthwhile. Late in the collection, remove stops that cannot produce anything you still need unless they fund the run. Keep a note of eligible containers searched and successful extractions over several attempts. That helps distinguish a route with poor survival from a route that simply has not produced the item yet.
| Missing item | Documented sources to consider | Planning implication |
|---|---|---|
| 42 Signature Blend English Tea | Ration supply crates, sport bags, caches | Add suitable containers to an existing quest route |
| Golden 1GPhone smartphone | Drawers, sport bags, jackets, specific loose electronics spawns | Search the golden variant's locations, not just any phone spawn |
| #FireKlean gun lube | Technical supply crates, drawers, jackets, listed loose spawns | A Lab visit is one option, not an access requirement |
| Golden egg | Safes, bags, caches, the listed Factory location | Check a direct location before committing to a long random-loot grind |
| Pestily plague mask | Scavs, selected containers, cultists, Sanitar's followers | Compare ordinary looting with specialized enemy hunts |
| WZ Wallet or Gingy keychain | Scav pockets and bags, selected marked rooms, Customs loose spawns | Try accessible sources before buying an expensive marked-room key |
Targeted finds: Golden egg and #FireKlean gun lube
For Golden egg, the current item page identifies a box in front of Factory's Gate 2, behind the pillar marked 9. Make that a deliberate location check rather than searching the whole map at random. Other players can reach loot first, and Factory's close fighting makes retrieval different from extraction. Plan where you will go after collecting it before moving into the area.
Safes, sport bags, ground caches, and buried barrel caches are also listed sources for Golden egg. Those alternatives are useful if you survive more consistently on another map or need several valuable items at once. Ragman's Living High is Not a Crime also requests Golden eggs, so do not assume the first copy you obtain can cover both quests.
For #FireKlean gun lube, documented loose spawns include the shelf between the Factory office doors, the bed in Customs dorm room 110, and the caged robot-arms area in The Lab between the server room and weapons-testing area. The Lab location is worth checking during a run you already know how to complete; it is not a reason to spend your remaining money learning the map with your final collection item at stake.
FireKlean can also come from technical supply crates and several ordinary container types. Inspect hideout requirements before spending your saved bottle because it has uses beyond Collector. A second copy can prevent a choice between immediate hideout progress and keeping the collection intact.
Targeted finds: masks, wallets, keychains, and the golden phone
Pestily plague mask is listed on Scavs and in several containers, including sport bags, jackets, and ground caches. Cultists and Sanitar's followers are additional documented sources. Begin with sources that match your current skill and task routes; a difficult enemy encounter is not automatically a faster way to obtain the mask. While playing a Scav, do not turn a friendly Scav wearing a desirable item into a reputation penalty.
WZ Wallet and Gingy keychain share several listed loose locations on Customs: an industrial shelf in warehouse 3 at the shipping yard, the desk inside Old Gas Station, and the giving tree behind it. Their references also list Scav pockets and bags. These are useful checks when your route already crosses the area, particularly before you commit money to a limited-use marked-room key.
Marked-room options include Customs dorm room 314 and Reserve's RB-BK, RB-VO, and RB-PKPM rooms. Treat keys as a cost spread over several attempts, not a purchase of the item itself. A valid spawn location still leaves uncertainty about what appears, whether someone reaches it first, and whether you survive with it.
For Golden 1GPhone smartphone, Interchange's documented locations include the power plant computer room and the electronics stores Rasmussen, Techlight, and Techno. Drawers and other listed containers give you alternatives. Decide which approach matches your confidence on the map, and identify the correct golden item before celebrating a completed checklist entry.
Use hideout output and rewards without gambling away progress
Before paying for repeated raids dedicated to one missing item, inspect your available quest rewards and hideout recipes. FIR quest rewards and eligible crafted output can satisfy the collection. The useful question is whether you can actually access a specific source now: a reward behind a long task chain may be less practical than a location you already know.
The current Golden egg reference lists a Cultist Circle unique sacrifice using a Tigzresq splint. Both objects are Collector items, so sacrificing your only saved splint would exchange one missing requirement for another. Consider that route when you have a spare splint or have already handed yours in. Inspect the resulting item's FIR status before counting it, and confirm the current sacrifice behavior before committing the input.
The hideout's Scav Case supplies random items with FIR status. If you already have it operating and can afford the runs, it can produce useful collection progress alongside your raids. It cannot promise a particular missing item. Budget it as an additional source instead of increasing spending after each disappointing return in the hope that the next roll must be better.
Avoid building an entire expensive hideout chain solely because someone reported obtaining your missing item from one roll. Compare the construction cost, ongoing inputs, and time against targeted raids. Meanwhile, review every reward bundle before selling its contents; a valuable quest payout can also contain the object that removes your final blocker.
Once you find a missing item, change the purpose of the raid
A raid that began as a money run can become a Collector extraction the moment a rare missing object appears. Stop treating the remaining loot route as an obligation. Check your health, hydration, energy, ammunition, and available exits, then choose a route that gets the item home. Additional loot has to justify the extra travel and exposure.
Put the item in your secure container if it is permitted and space allows, but remember that this only protects the object after death. You still need an eligible extraction for Collector. If you found it early, make sure your extraction will avoid Run Through. Waiting in a considered position is preferable to forcing a fight solely to guess at an experience threshold.
Discuss the change with your squad before anyone starts another objective. Agree on the carrier and the extraction route. Teammates can watch approaches and avoid pulling unnecessary enemies toward you, but they cannot make a non-FIR item eligible by passing it back and forth. Raid-spawned loot found by a teammate is different from a saved item that teammate brought into the raid.
After extracting as a Scav, transfer the item to your stash before finishing the transfer screen. After a PMC raid, move it out of the equipped loadout immediately. Only then mark it as saved or submit it to Fence if Collector is already active.
Finish the last few items with a sustainable budget
The final item often feels harder because every other useful find has stopped counting as collection progress. That does not mean its drop chance has changed. Keep earning money on the route and compare attempts by survival, relevant searches, and cost. A raid that funds the next several attempts still contributes even when the wanted item is absent.
Set a replacement budget before a focused session. Include the weapon, armor, healing, ammunition, entry costs, and any key usage. Use a loadout that you can repeat without cutting the supplies needed to survive. Carrying an expensive rifle while skipping healing or an appropriate extraction plan is a poor allocation of money for a collection run.
If the same approach keeps ending in death, change one major variable: the map, the path, the time of day, or whether you enter as PMC or Scav. A different route is useful when it improves your chance of returning with loot, not merely because it feels new. Keep a narrow shortlist of missing items so you do not continue taking detours for objects already handed in.
Avoid fixed promises such as Kappa in a certain number of raids or hours. Your starting reputation, shooting-task progress, collection, and extraction consistency all affect the workload. Plan the next attainable milestone, then reassess after completing it.
Hand in the collection and diagnose a blocked completion
When Fence offers Collector, accept it and submit eligible saved items through the task interface. You can make progress with individual hand-ins instead of waiting for the whole set to be assembled. Update your checklist after the game accepts each object. Handing items over as you obtain them also reduces the risk of selling, consuming, or redeploying them later.
Before submitting a wallet, keychain, or other container, move its contents into safe stash storage. Confirm that you are selecting the reserved FIR copy rather than a similar everyday item. After the final requirement is accepted, use the task's completion control and claim the reward. A finished-looking objective list and a fully completed task are separate steps.
If the quest is missing, inspect progression first. If the quest is visible but a submission fails, inspect the item first. Rechecking those separately is more productive than changing maps or buying replacements at random. When everything appears correct, reopen the trader screen or restart the client to rule out stale interface state, then capture the relevant task and item details for a support report if the problem remains.
| Problem | First checks | Useful next action |
|---|---|---|
| Collector is unavailable | Seven LL4 states, Fence +3, four completed tasks | Resolve the missing gate on this profile |
| Correct-looking object cannot be submitted | Exact variant, FIR marker, remaining objective | Replace an ineligible copy; purchases do not repair FIR |
| Shooting-task counter did not rise | Target, weapon class, headshot or distance, map group | Compare the kill conditions with the active objective |
| All items appear delivered but Kappa is missing | Task completion and reward claim | Finish Collector and collect the reward before checking equipment |
| Checklist disagrees with the game | Patch, profile, item rename, outdated tracker | Use the active task requirements and update your notes |
Claim Kappa and keep profile progression straight
The current Collector reward package is the Kappa secure container, a DEADSKUL armband, and the Dawn of a New Era achievement. The older The Kappa Path achievement was retired from new acquisition with Patch 1.1.0.0. Do not mistake the different achievement name for a failed completion if Collector and its current rewards have been awarded.
Move the contents of your previous secure container carefully, equip Kappa in the pouch slot, and build a layout around the equipment you regularly use. Leave deliberate room for loot instead of filling every new slot simply because it is available. Test whether any unusual item fits before you enter a raid depending on that arrangement.
Keep your permanent PvP, PvE, and seasonal progress separate when tracking Collector. The seasonal character introduced in 1.1 uses its own progression, and seasonal rules or personal modifiers can change the experience. Owning a container on one character is not proof that another character has completed Fence's task. This guide covers the Collector route; check the active season's character-creation rules separately for modifier-based starting equipment.
For your next session, choose one concrete target: finish a named prerequisite, close a trader reputation gap, reach the Fence threshold, or extract with a particular missing item. Save the collection as you go, verify hand-ins, and let the remaining requirement determine the next run.
Avoid these mistakes
- Using flea purchases for FIR requirements.
- Treating an example list as the complete hand-in list.
- Ignoring reputation while finishing combat tasks.

Frequently asked questions
What level do I need for Kappa now?
The current trader requirements create an effective minimum of PMC level 42 because Ragman needs level 42 for LL4. You must also meet every required trader's reputation threshold, reach Fence reputation +3, complete the four named tasks, and deliver the 44 FIR items. Level 42 alone does not unlock or award Kappa.
Do I still need to complete almost every quest?
The current Collector page lists seven LL4 traders, +3 Scav karma, and four explicit task prerequisites instead of the old broad quest-completion requirement. You will still do substantial task progression to earn reputation and reach the named prerequisites. A historical Kappa-required quest list is not a reliable substitute for the current conditions.
Does Collector require Fence LL4 or Ref progression?
Collector requires Fence reputation of at least +3. Fence LL4 requires +6, so those are different thresholds. The seven required LL4 traders are Prapor, Therapist, Skier, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Ragman, and Jaeger; Ref is not included.
Can I collect the items before accepting Collector?
Yes. Collector uses ordinary inventory items, so you can save qualifying copies long before the task becomes available. Keep them in the stash with FIR intact. Special quest-inventory objects, such as Chemical - Part 3's syringe, follow their own active-task rules and cannot be treated the same way.
Can Scav loot, crafted items, and quest rewards count?
Yes, provided the individual copy has the required found-in-raid status. Transfer Scav loot into your stash after a successful extraction, and keep qualifying craft outputs and quest rewards out of later raids. Check the actual source before assuming a particular Collector item has a craft or guaranteed reward.
Can a friend give me a missing item?
A teammate can point out or pass over eligible loot found during the same raid; you must still extract with the required status. A saved object brought into the raid by that teammate loses FIR and cannot solve Collector. The object's origin and status matter, not who first clicked on it.
Does putting a Collector item in my secure container make it safe?
It protects the object from being lost on death if the container accepts it, but dying removes the FIR status needed for Collector. A Run Through also leaves it ineligible. You need a qualifying extraction, then safe stash storage until hand-in.
Do I need the Evasion armband, Old firesteel, or Golden rooster?
They are not part of the 44-item Collector list checked for this guide. They may still be useful for other quests or the hideout. Follow the current task screen if a future update changes the list, rather than relying on a checklist from an older wipe.
Can I submit items one at a time?
Yes. Once Collector is active, hand over eligible items as you obtain them. Record accepted hand-ins separately from items merely stored in your stash, and complete the task after the final requirement is fulfilled.
Is there a guaranteed fastest map for the whole collection?
No single route covers every item efficiently. Choose documented sources for the objects you still lack, then compare access costs and your survival rate. Factory has a listed Golden egg location, for example, while wallets, keychains, masks, and the golden phone have different useful sources.
